Text messages composed with minimal effort. Primarily two words or less and consist of concise (mostly incomplete) thoughts, phrases or responses.

My witty responses quickly turned to grunt texts when my interest waned.

Exactly what it sounds like: You're sending a message (usually a NSFW message to your girlfriend/boyfriend) and you realize that you should look before you send - Because that just went to someone whom you REALLY don't want to see it, usually your mother.

Hey babe, my parents aren't home. Let's do it tonight ;)

National “don’t text your crush day”

On one day a year, nobody texts their crush (unless there’s an emergency).
This means that if you don’t get a text from your crush, then perhaps she/he might like you back. In any case it relieves some stress and you have an excuse not to text her/him.
