Black Tulip

The Black Tulip, aka the An-12 is a Soviet-made transport military aircraft that saw most of its service in the First Russo-Chechen War and the Soviet-Afghan War. The aircraft infamously carried dead soldiers back home. Today, it is scarcely used for cargo, civilian transport and even still in military service in other small countries.

Russian soldier, 1995:"Last night a Chechen bastard hit our tank. The tank mechanic is dead, he'll be coming home in a Black Tulip."
