moving the chains

the term used for when a guy is making the moves on a girl when he's trying to score. comes from the football term when a team is moving the ball down the field in an attempt to score, when they get a first down, the move the first down chains.

I haven't nailed Monica yet, but I'm moving the chains. Soon I'll be in the redzone and go for the score.
