A person who thinks that resources and wealth should distributed among people who deserve rather than on an equal basis. Egalitarianism would be the opposite of Meritarianism.

Egalitarian: We should help the homeless.

Meritarian: The homeless don't work so we shouldn't share our resources with them!!!!

Merrillville High School

The "new" ghetto high school of the region. Merrillville used to be nice back when everyone from Gary STAYED in Gary. Now the only people who think it's nice are the people from Gary who have trashed it. Don't let anybody fool you. Merrillville is a suburban ghetto. Those who say otherwise are the problem. If you are looking for greener pastures, Crown Point, Indiana is much nicer.

Merrillville High School is the ass crack of the suburban schools in the region.

Merrick surfers are a rare species these days.merrick surfer bros is group of students that attend Calhoun High School on long island. they are also known to be called the brew crew and occasionally pacsun crew. the group consists of 4-8 students in Calhoun. they are the only ones that surf in there grade and are made fun of by ones that dont. although surfing thrives in older grades, it has died out between the younger kids, they are the last group of surfers in the school. although made fun of, many of the members in the group participate in the social norms of the school and are accepted into other clicks...while some are not..

Merrickville

A small village located in Ontario, Canada. The Village of Merrickville has a population of 2000 (and growing) and sits alongside the Rideau and St.Lawrence river. Merrickville has been crowned Canada's "most beautiful city" and is hot spot for tourism, due to the location, heritage buildings and overall quaintness.

Merrickville was founded in 1794, by William Merrick, of the Merrick family.
