The Lord Of The Rings

Probably the greatest
literature and movies known to mankind. J.R.R. Tolkien was the literary Einstein, and probably always will be. Peter Jackson, who directed the Lord Of The Rings movies, is one of the greatest directors to ever walk this Earth.

The Lord Of The Rings trilogy is divided into three parts.

The Lord Of The Rings: The Fellowship Of The Ring
The Lord Of The Rings: The Two Towers
The Lord Of The Rings: The Return Of The King

People like to compare The Lord of the Rings to Harry Potter. It's really quite funny, and it's fun to laugh at people who do that, seeing as how the only thing the two series have in common is that magic exists in both worlds that the two stories take place in. Otherwise, they have nothing in common characterwise, the plotlines are not similar whatsoever, and not even the monsters/creatures that are in the stories are similar. Usually people who compare Harry Potter to The Lord Of The Rings have barely read one series or the other at all.

To the people who constantly compare Harry Potter to The Lord Of The Rings - do humanity a favor and shut the fuck up and pull your head out of your ass, and realize that since you are a mere civilian and basically have no way of making any books and/or movies, you can't do shit about whatever series - that you probably haven't read - you're pissed off about. Thank you.

The Lord of the Rings

One of the most successful trilogies of all time, in the forms of literature and film. It chronicles the parallel adventures of Frodo Baggins, and Aragorn, Heir of Gondor.

For some reason, people on UrbanDictionary.com feel that they have to compare this trilogy to J.K. Rowling's seven-part book/movie series Harry Potter
The Lord of the Rings should have swept every single Oscar.

lord of the rings

Lord of the Rings is a masterpiece. It was originally intended to be all one book, but it was divided into three books, and each separate book is divided into two books (confused yet?). The story actually begins in "The Hobbit," where Bilbo Baggins discovers the One Ring in Gollum's lair (which, at the time, was in a cavern within the Misty Mountains). Then in "The Fellowship of the Ring," Bilbo grants the ring to his nephew, Frodo, and then departs to start a new and relaxed life (but they soon meet up in Rivendell). Gandalf teaches Frodo that the One Ring was forged in the fires of Mount Doom for the Dark Lord, Sauron. Three rings were given to the Elves, seven to the dwarves, and nine to the men, but it was the One Ring that could mean peril to all that is good in Middle Earth if it was brought back into the hands of the Dark Lord. Frodo had to return it to the one place it could be destroyed, Mount Doom, in the heart of Mordor. Frodo originally sets off with Pippin, Sam, and Merry. They find themselves in Rivendell, where the council of Elrond takes part. Elrond adds Boromir, Aragorn, Legolas, Gandalf, and Gimli to Frodo's party, and they become the Fellowship. To read of their perilous adventures through Middle Earth is to take an adventure through the ancient trees of Lorien, to journey through the dank darkness of Moria, and to wade in the waters of the sacred Nimrodel. If you're into fantasy, then Lord of the Rings is for you.
One ring to rule them all, one ring to find them, one ring to bring them all and in the darkness bind them...

Lord Of The Rings

A novel of epic proportions by TRR Tolkien. It is however, only the tip of the iceberg of his writtings on middle earth. A truly awesome work which was not done justice by its big screen production.
Anyone who denounces this book is obviously too stupid to read it or has the attention span of a 5 year od on speed.
Have u read lotr?
I started it last year but still haven't finished.
