psychedelic

Means "mind manifesting." It is used to describe the state of consciousness typically experienced while under drugs such as LSD, mushrooms, mescaline and cannabis - consisting of various stages of ego-release and an often startling alteration of perceptions.

This word is also applied to the writings, art, movies and music that are inspired by or that enhance the psychedelic experience.

The term was coined by psychiatrist Humphrey Osmond, MD who was disatisfied with the old term used to describe the experience "psychomimetic" which alluded to the experience replicating psychosis.

I experienced oneness with the universe and discovered God during a psychedelic experience.

psychotronic

The American use of this term comes from a 1979 movie called "The Psychotronic Man". It refers to the ability to control the physical world with your mind. Because of this movie the word psychotronic fell into generic usage for obscure cult films.

Psychonaut

A psychonaut is Greek for- psyche = soul or spirit - nautes' = sailor or navigator.

So initially you have become a soul sailor/spirit navigator. Seeking altered states of consciousness via meditation, yoga, sensory deprivation, flotation tanks, holotropic breathing, entheogens, entagtogens, plant medicine, psychedelics.

We are exploring our own minds, we are exploring our own soul, we explore our consciousness. We are exploring the universe. The universe is exploring itself through our eyes.

Technically everyone is seeking altered states of reality, going to view a movie.. is for the emotions it gives us. Watching UFC or sports, the primal tribal side of our DNA. Drinking coffee or tea. Listening to music, playing video games, stepping into VR. Being an actor on television. Sipping a beer/wine. Having sex. Dreaming. These are all altered states of consciousness.

I believe before any one does a true psychedelic, they must study philosophy, yoga, meditation, holotropic breathing. You would never have "the fear," anxiety attack, panic attack, PTSD, or chronic depression. It is all being disconnected from the earth, spirit, soul, nature, the universe. The amazonians, the native American Indians, shamans... they know this. We have lost touch with our spirit. That is why we seek these altered states.

psychopathic

Superficially charming, psychopaths make a good first impression on others and will often strike observers as remarkably normal. Yet they are dishonest, self-centered, and unreliable, and at times they engage in irresponsible behavior for no apparent reason other than the sheer fun of it. Largely devoid of guilt, they have casual and callous interpersonal and romantic relationships. Psychopaths often offer excuses or make up elaborate lies for their reckless and often outrageous actions, placing blame on others instead. They almost never learn from their mistakes, plan for the future or realize the reprocussions of their actions, and they have difficulty inhibiting their impulses.

My wife is psychopathic. She steals my prescriptions pain meds when she can and sometimes blocks me in the room where I lock up my pills until I give her some. She has had me arrested when I wouldn't give in and after hours of this I pushed my way out of the room and she had her 9 year old daughter run next door to call the cops on me. I was arrested for stopping her from making a 911 phone call. When I got out of jail the next day I found out she and her kids spent the night breaking into my safe. She took all my pills and any money I had in there and destroyed my safe. The new safe I bought has a key override but I locked the keys inside. She hired someone to pick the lock and she got one of the keys out and kept it. After 4 days I noticed my pill count was extremely low for a 3 day old script. She denied it until I recorded her doing it. I filled the key hole with two part epoxy. I couldn't even make the rent more than a few times cause she would get ahold of my debit card, pull out cash and buy pills. I had two new cars that were repo'ed and owe over 90k on loans and credit cards since we got married in 2011. She accepted a summons from a debt collector on 7/1/14 and I didn't know about it until I got a letter in the mail stating I failed to appear and lost by default. She does not work or collect any income. She doesn't even sweep the floor or do the dishes. Hell, the only thing she does is sit on the couch, drink Mountain dew, smoke like a chimney and watch tv.

Date rape psychosis

Disease to get out of school, involves being raped then going psychotic.

Date rape psychosis is a fictional disease mentioned in the Towelie episode of South Park.


The term was coined by one of the characters, Eric Cartman. The young boys had just gotten a new game console (an Ocama GameSphere) from Stan's mother as a bribe for dropping the subject of a very feminine, personal issue. While the boys were obsessively playing the game, Kyle's mother called him at Stan's house and told him to go to school. Kyle responded (still mostly playing the video game) that he couldn't because he had to help out Stan, as he was not feeling very well. His mother asked him what was wrong with Stan and that's when Cartman told Kyle "date rape psychosis" (on request), so Kyle repeated this to his mom as "Date rape something," who respectfully honoured her young son's excuse.

armchair psychologist

A person who gives advice for mental disorders, emotional disorders, or any other mental illness and has no known background knowledge of psychology. More than just advice with no clinical know how.

Some dude gave me advice on eating disorders at Mac D's and claimed that the food additives had addictive properties creating a mental cycle of "food abuse". I asked if he was some kind of armchair psychologist or a something, grabbed my number one with cheese and bounced. Fucker was right or was he?
