Essay Slop

Essay Slop: a type of video that talks about modern day topics(most often problems) for a few minutes at the start to only then go on a half hour long rant about how the world was created to talk about something that someone with surface level knowledge about said topic(that you clicked the video for) would already know about only to then circle back at the end to not add any new information about the topic, these types of creators most often say they use their own scripts but most often use other YouTubers or even ai to generate their scripts, they often use over editing to make their videos stand out to only blend in with the other essay slop creators. The whole justification for making such a useless video is “some people don’t know the full story” when most if not all people who watched their video already know about the said topic.

I can't believe I just wasted 30 minutes watching that Essay Slop of a video.
