A person who wanders the country without a place to permanently call home but has money to take care of themself. A reference to the legendary Dutch Ghost Ship that was doomed to sail forever without reaching port.

I sold my house and bought a state of the art RV. Now I travel around the country like a motorized Flying Dutchman staying in campgrounds.

Flying Monkeys

Named after the minions of the Wicked Witch of the West, in the Wizard of OZ. These are people who have no minds of their own and will do the bidding of a witch (with a B) that controls them. They will fly out of nowhere and attack you, because they unquestioningly believe what she/he told them.
