In computers, a term for four bits, or half a byte. Synonymous with nybble. The term probably comes from the reputation that Jews have had traditionally had for being stingy, as they used to be overrepresented in the banking field.

When converting binary to hexidecimal, one hex digit represents one jewbyte.
