Everyone benefits from this. Innocent civilians demand justice against whoever tries to threaten their form of living. Anyone who pulls a Snowden would rather risk going to jail on the account of saving a whole country from destruction.
The name Snowden comes from Edward Snowden. He was a former CIA employee and exposed over 200,000 government documents to the public telling them what was going on behind closed doors. The US government tried to seize him but he retreated to foreign territory.
There have been protests by other countries protecting Snowden for being a true hero by exposing the lies that the media portrays.
Snowden himself quoted, "I can't in good conscience allow the U.S. government to destroy privacy, internet freedom and basic liberties for people around the world with this massive surveillance machine they're secretly building."
As soon as Snowden was granted in a Russian Asylum. The same day the United States government tried to implement SOPA. The battle for freedom still continues but Snowden's legacy lives on. This is how every citizen of their own country should be act, willing to tell the truth no matter what the cost. We are all born free but we have to fight for our freedom.
