Fushigi Yugi

also known as the "Mysterious Play", Fushigi Yugi is a shoujo ("girl", but it can be for guys too) by manga artist yu watase. its about this girl named Miaka and her friend Yui who get sucked into the Shi Jin Ten Chi Sho (The Book of the Universe of the Four Gods). Through many events, Miaka and Yui become enemies. In order to save the world, Miaka must gather the Suzaku Seishi (Suzaku Celestial Warriors) as Suzaku no Miko (Priestess of Suzaku) and summon the beast god, Suzaku. A very good, touching, romance story. With TONS of cute guys. ^^ (Warning: You WILL need tissue)

Like a turd that won't flush.

“Like a turd that won't flush” can mean an excrement that you can‘t flush down the toilet. But when said to someone or about someone, it means an irritating person that just won’t go away.

It is mostly used in the latter sense.

Example 1:

He just keeps on bugging everyone and doesn’t know when to go away, like a turd that won't flush.

Example 2:

Guy 1: I don’t want him to come with us!

Guy 2: So why don’t we ignore him, and he might take the hint.

Guy 1: I doubt it, he’s like a turd that won't flush.

asian flush

A condition which is characterized by a low tolerance for alcohol, affecting statistically about 50% of Asians. Scientific research reveals that it is caused by what is considered a genetic defect, and as such, typically cannot be "overcome". Symptoms are alcohol-induced, can range from mild to severe depending on the individual, and include:
- redness and "flushing" of the face
- a sensation of heat
- splotchy redness on the neck, shoulders, and upper torso
- dizzyness/drowsiness
- accelerated intoxication

Though it is thought to be an Asian affliction exclusively, it is a misnamed syndrome which is found in half of all Asians, small numbers of Caucasians, and ALL Native Americans.

Research is being done on this strange condition known as "asian flush", using Native American participants.

The best kind of hand in poker. A straight flush involves someone having five suited connectors as their hand. For instance, a hand of 4-5-6-7-8 of diamonds is a straight flush.

The top straight flush, 10 to ace, is called a royal flush and is the absolute pinnacle of poker.

I thought I had a nut flush, but Bryan rivered a straight flush and took home the pot.
