steppin' razor

A Steppin' Razor is a dangerous person that is not to be messed with, referring to the fact that they are quick to fight. Its origins are unknown, but the term was popularized by the song Steppin' Razor, written by Joe Higgs and recorded by the popular Jamaican Reggae band The Wailers. A number of covers of the song and references to the term have appeared since.

Heppum's Razor

"The most lol explanation is the truth."

This is from Encyclopedia Dramatica. It means that the funniest, or most "lol worthy", explanation is the truth.
When trying to find out who raped and murdered that girl, remember Heppum's Razor.

Cidu's Razor

Cidu's Razor is the opposite of Occam's Razor. Occam's Razor is the idea that the simplest explanation for something is usually the answer. Cidu's Razor is the idea that the most convoluted conspiracy theory possible is the likely explanation for something.

Cidu's razor is gaining fast popularity within the personal nicotine vaporizer forum community due to Cidu's wild explanations for reasons behind everything.
And example of Cidu's Razor

Joe: "Why is Suzy late?"
Steve: "She probably slept in late."
Cidu: "Yanno, I did notice she's a fan of Ayn Rand, and really annoying that strange guy from the masonic lodge with trilateral commission connections. He probably took care of her. They'll do that you know. Just make people disappear. Happens all the time. You people have no idea how the world really works."

-10 minutes later-

Suzy: "Sorry I'm late, I overslept".

occam's razor

Principle established by the logician William of Ockham in the 14th century. Like the Principle of Parsimony, this theory states that one should not make unnecessary assumptions and that the answer to a problem is often the simplest. It is the basis of methodological reductionalism and applications of its principles are commonly used in modern strategy and economics. *also "ockham's razor"
Entia non sunt multiplicanda praeter necessitatem.

Hanlon's Razor

Hanlon's Razor is a saying commonly summarized as "Never assume malice when stupidity will suffice". Named for "Robert Hanlon"--probably a corruption of the author Robert Heinlein. There are many variations, but the general idea is that same. Also known in British English as the "Cock-Up Theory".
Person 1: Dude, my stimulus check was $600 less than it should be. The government is trying to screw me!
Person 2: Hanlon's Razor, man. They probably had faulty information for you.
