Gatosexual

Gatosexual describes someone who experiences normal sexual attraction and desire (i.e. is allosexual), but whose sexual interest does not translate into pursuit or action unless certain conditions are met. These conditions typically include attraction, basic respect, and a sense that interest is mutual. Random hookups, transactional sex, or emotional guesswork feel wrong or emotionally costly, so desire remains internal unless the “gate” is opened. During periods where the gate remains closed, sexual desire is often expressed through fantasy or imagination, which serves as a safe, low-cost outlet rather than a substitute for real intimacy.
