Unlike traditional conservatives (who advocate small, gradual change), neo-cons advocate the use of force, manipulation and deception to radically change social policy BACK to the repressive pre-1960s days, while keeping the economy free-market thus enabling large corporations to take over the world.

He's so outgoing and fun to be around but at the end of the day stands by his beliefs. Prime example of a Liberal Conservative!

The term is used to imply that an individual or group keeps this support or admiration hidden to avoid political persecution or political suicide.
"John is a crypto conservative because he works at very liberal job and doesn't want to get harassed at work if people find out."

Akin to a ministered surmon.
A laborsome, albeit somewhat amusingly skewed compilation of conjecture, misunderstandings, Bible quotes, Fox News "facts", hocus-pocus, psuedo-science and fairy-tales. Usually involving loose, air-borne saliva and the use of a snot-rag.
See liberal rant.

My neighbor wouldn't shut-up about his pastor's town-hall meeting on liberals. His conservative rant lasted two whole minutes. Thank God for the Star Spangled Banner. I thought he'd never stop. My friend and I got back to the game just before kick-off.

The phrase that attempts (unsuccessfully?)to force progressive ideas into a regressive box for the sole purpose of selling warm fuzzies to cold hearted bastards
Ghengis Khan's Mommy? Hitler on Christmas morning? Strom Thurmond while knocking boots with the domestic help? "The neo-fascist allowed the screaming young girl to look away as he hacked off her mother's head, justifying his reputation as a compassionate conservative."
