The Cavan shuffle

Irregular spasmodic and convulsive dancing performed by the natives of County Cavan. Lacking rhythm, shteamin', on the dance floor, moving from side to side with feet in repetitive pattern, while head and torso exhibit what can only be described as an epileptic fit.

Down the local dishco, there's many a boy at the Cavan shuffle hi.

A Calo word (Chicano switch code) to mean a "punk". Used usually to define people who are in a barrio enviroment. Believed to have come from the root form "chava" which in Rural Mexican Spanish means, kid, youth, childish and ect.

That vato is a chavala.

Chevy Cavalier

A normally lackluster economy vehicle offered in two and four door stylings and an array of engines throughout it's over-lived career. In Z24 or LS Ecotec garb, this vehicle is decent and has some potential as well as a decent price tag.

The Cavalier is difficult to be proud of due to the amount of 2.2SOHC grey-bumpered cavaliers, as well as the All-American hicks who will most loudly represent.

"There's no replacement for displacement. Oh... nevermind... it's a 2.2 liter SOHC 4cyl..."

a wangsta or a wannabe playa or a chav who unfortunately has a big ass so you cant take him seriously at all.

the word originated last year (2003) in Chatham, birthplace of the Chav, and is slowly spreading to other areas of the UK.

famous examples: Rahul Bhandari (aka MC Chavarse) and Victor from Big Brother 5 (the UK Big Brother, that is.)
