Ps2

Awesome console for 50 bucks used. Gamecube is only 30 bucks, so you could buy a gamecube, ps2, and around 3 good games for about 100 dollars

unfortunately xbox was discontinued because Microsoft doesn't care about low budget people like us who refuse to buy overpriced consoles until they are reasonably priced (think under $75 for console and $15 at most for a good game)

Tom: I got a ps3 for only 300 bucks!!!!

Bill: I can buy 6 ps2's or 10 gamecubes for that. Or a ps2 for the same price of a decent ps3 game.

Tom: well.... I got Internet, online play, blu Ray, a hardrive, and other stuff!

Bill: I believe ps2 has some online play, I have better Internet on my old laptop, I can wait for games to load because I have a laptop, and the only thing you have is blu Ray. Totally 6x the price of a ps2 and 10x more than gamecube. I think I'll buy god of war for 10 bucks now while you pay 50 for god of war 3

PS2

A famous video game console created by Sony. Well-known for its many, many 3rd party games. This relatively free and unrestricted competition of publishers and developers accompanied by a lack of serious 1st party support has earned this system a reputation synonymous with capitalism.

Most of the games for the PS2 are not produced by Sony. And there are more well-reviewed 3rd party games than 1st party games.

Imagine a black box if you will, now imagine that box being the only thing you will ever need, it being the ultimate gaming system, now you have a PS2. Considered not as good as the Xbox because of its weaker specs the ps2 still had the larger choice of games, while the xbox had only halo and later halo2 and doom3 as games that recieved any sort of pblicity the ps2 continues to release hugely popular games.

MGS2 on PS2, you dont need other reason to go buy it do you?

PS2

Short for "PlayStation 2", it's the successor to the original PlayStation, it was released in japan on the 4th of March, 2000 and in the European region, it was released on the 24th of November, 2000 and in North America in October 26th, 2000. it sold over 155 million units worldwide until it's discontinuation in January 4th, 2013.
the PlayStation 2 has had 10,035 games released for it world-wide on both the CD-Rom and DVD-Rom format.
the PlayStation 2 was also fully backward compatible with the previous PlayStation 1.
A big selling point for the PlayStation 2 was it's ability to play CD and DVD discs.
the PlayStation 2 originally came out in what's known as the "fat" model (SCPH-1000x-SCPH-5000x) and the "slim model (SCPH-700xx-SCPH-9000x).

PS2

A system that is only thought highly of by people who have never played any of the other systems. Primarily has japanaese rpg's made for it. It is basicaly a suped up ps1 and is not very unique. The best sold system in japan but they made it so big surprise. Do not by this system if you plan on playing games with your friends. This system was made for single player games. Sony's weak attempt at making something similar to XBX live but failed miserably. Best system if you want to play by urself and be alone but overrated and is only bought because of the large number of games that are made exclusive to it.

So i was playing my PS2 when my controller broke and i cried.
