"I don't know... he said he went to see an ex-girlfriend but it was with her brother and some other friends. And the viagra he took from a friend that night was because he MIGHT use it with me at some point and not with the girl. And he only told his friend to lie about him going there because I was stressed out about stuff... Wait? Do you think he cheated on me?"

"Girlfriend.... Occam's Razor."

Occam's Safety Guard - contends that devising clever alternatives to the simplest solution can be safely avoided all together, as the result will inevitably be the same. It is, if you will, the scabbard with which Occam's Razor can be safely stored.

It is in a sense, it is the principle which destroys the dreaded, 'analysis to paralysis' dynamic.

The tedious nature of these meetings, in which we indulge every clever thought that comes out of someone's head, could be thwarted through the use of "Occam's Safety Guard".

Occam's Inconvenience

When the most inconvenient outcome to a situation is the most likely to occur.

Wife: "Honey, why are you going to work so early?"

Husband: "Occam's Inconvenience dictates there will most likely be a lot of traffic on the freeway, and construction on all the side streets. Or some combination of the two, especially if I'm running late."

Wife: "Like how it seems everything outside of your control stacks against you when you're least prepared to handle it."

Husband: "Exactly."

Occam’s Jigger

Occam's Jigger, not to be confused with Occam's Razor, is a theoretical model that describes the phenomena in which no matter how large a given bar is or how many bartenders are working behind that bar, they all tend to randomly migrate to the same space at the same time. It can not be represented mathematically using the following basic formulas for fluid dynamics:

dx/dt=delta*(y-x)
dy/dt=r*x-y-x*z
dz/dt=x*y-b*z

However, it can be compared to Chaos Theory.

Technique of philosophical discourse wherein the most obvious and simple explanation must be pointedly ignored to allow discussion of weak and immediately falsifiable alternatives. Used primarily to draw out a discussion with minimal danger of actually reaching a resolution.

"Maybe I'm overthinking this. Maybe I'm not transgender. Maybe it's just internalized misogyny. Maybe I'm really a self-hating lesbian."
