Necromancy

Communication with the dead for purposes of divination or magically influencing the course of natural events.
Necromancy is the act of conjuring the dead for divination. It dates back to Persia, Greece and Rome, and in the Middle Ages was widely practiced by magicians, sorcerers, and witches. It was condemned by the Catholic Church as "the agency of evil spirits," and in Elizabethan England was outlawed by the Witchcraft Act of 1604. Necromancy is not to be confused with conjuring devils or demons for help. Necromancy is the seeking of the spirits of the dead. The spirits are sought because they, being without physical bodies, are no longer limited by the earthly plane. Therefore, it is thought these spirits have access to information of the past and future which is not available to the living. It has been used to help find sunken or buried treasure, and whether or not a person was murdered or died from other causes.

Necromancer

A person who practices necromancy, often called the Dark Art or Death magic. Necromantic abilities, through rituals and spells include divination from the deceased and creating servitors that can take the form of a corpse but, do not include raising the dead.
A necromancer creates a servitor and can control it to do certain actions. The necromancer then breaks his/her concentration for even a moment and the servitor is gone.

Necromancerphiliamander

An abhorrent freak of nature who enjoys both resurrecting and making love to the dead. These creatures (although only one has been confirmed to exist) began as simple Shalomanders, spam-fighting reptiles with highly developed skills in STFU-age, although typically they use the Hebrew variant, Shalom. Unfortunately, the Shalomander was never very popular with the ladies, and so began sleeping with the dead to avoid any problematic questions of consent. It is unclear how they developed the power, or desire, to raise the dead, however.
"Ho ho, this is more fun than a busload of dead cheerleaders!" said the necromancerphiliamander as he drove the jeep out of the exploding Nazi camp.
