Doc Holliday Cough

A "Doc Holliday Cough" is the unsettling, abrupt and ill-sounding cough produced by an ostensibly healthy individual. Doc Holliday, the sharp shooting associate of Dodge City lawman Wyatt Earp, was known to have terminal tuberculosis and in film is often portrayed as being wracked by fits of coughing.

A "Doc Holliday Cough" is a cough that, without any other evidence or observation, imparts a sense of illness or poor health.
The girl who sat next to me on the bus had a Doc Holliday cough so I made sure to wash my hands a lot and change my clothes when I got home.

Hollidaysburg

A town in west-central PA with a population of just under 6000 people. Features areas which are timeless/classy as well as areas with sprawling mansions and contemporary luxury apartments. One distinct historical and timeless area is the "Diamond District," with shops and boutiques lining the streets where one can find designer clothing boutiques and small unique restaurants. (Not many chain restaurants like the surrounding areas) Also in the "district" are scattered Victorian homes, which have been well-maintained over the years. The more contemporary areas feature a number of upscale apartments which have countless amenities. Additionally there are gigantic estates carved into the mountainside. Many successful members of the community work in outlying areas and choose Hollidayburg as their residence for the low crime rate and beautiful surroundings. The name itself invokes an image of prestige and exclusivity. Meticulously manicured golf courses and exclusive country clubs provide afternoon relaxation and evening entertainment. Men tend to be of a higher level of intellect; the women are gorgeous and cultured. The demographics feature a mix of young an old alike, with a growing young professional population. Many doctors, lawyers, executives, and those who have opted out of the fast paced NYC and LA lifestyles live here. Residents take pride in their appearance and social status.
Oh, you live where?....Well I guess we can't all live in the premier central PA city..otherwise it would not be Hollidaysburg.

hollidaysburg

town in central PA which is very "up on the times" despite its rural location. it has a population of about 5,500 (2000) the people there are generally smart and there is a wide array of cultures and social classes. you can have millionaires and poor people having a beer and socializing next to each other in a bar. there are a lot of old people, but thats because they were poorly educated as children and didnt learn how to leave pennsylvania. Hollidaysburg is also the home of the slinky, a popular children's toy. there arent many hicks in hollidaysburg, contrary to popular belief that central PA is full of rednecks (thats more northern PA). Hollidaysburg used to be a port on the Pennsylvania Canal. The hollidaysburg high school's team name is the "tigers".

HOLLIDAY

(1) The surname of a legendary man from a sacred place called Leeds in gods own country, Yorkshire, bestowed upon the current bearer, known as, Ian.

(2) The first recorded spelling of the family name is believed to be that of Reginald Halidei, which was dated 1179 in the the county of Bedford during the reign of King Henry 11 of England, known as "The Church Builder".

Note: In ancient Scotland, Holliday was a surname of Strathclyde- Britons. It was a name meaning someone who lived near mountain called, Holy Day, in the county of Annandale. The name is derived from a war cry "holy day, a holy day".
