grunge

A way of life, living without care, not giving a fucking shit. Main stream describes it as a music genre but really most people who are grunge listen to alternative music mostly, along with rock metal and punk. Most of the style came from the west coast, Seattle being a major input but also Cali and Nevada helped with large populations of grunge.

Some of you almost got it. But the rest of you... Go fuck yourself, you will never get it.

Living a grunge lifestyle you do a lot less laundry.

Psychedelic Grunge

A fusion of 1960's Psychedelic Rock and 1990's Grunge Rock. Many call the genre Grungedelic Rock.

Grunge mouth

When a singer intentionally changes the way he phrases or sings his words, most prevalent in grunge music. (i.e. pronouncing "here" like "hurr") The worst case of grunge mouth ever recorded is Scott Stapp of the band Creed. Sometimes a case of grungemouth can be so bad that it renders the person's singing incoherent. Pearl Jam's "Yellow Ledbetter" is a good example.

Worst purveyors of grunge mouth are Creed, Pearl Jam, early Stone Temple Pilots, most recently heard with band Volbeat.

Someone who follows the Seattle Grunge movement in ALL it's forms, not just fucking Nirvana (get a deal, examples: Hole, L-7, Pearl Jam, Babes In Toyland (although more Riot Grrrl), Alice in Chains, Sound Garden, PAW, Mudhoney, Screaming Trees, yes, and a million more I THANK YOU).

A "grunger" is also an expression for a person who follows this music and not the actual dress of the listener, although in the late 1980's they were associated with flannels and thrift store clothing due to lack of money (most teenagers are often broke because they insist on doing things their own way rather than sapping their daddy's credit cards for the latest football strips and Nike trainers. Get a deal you fucking townies and don't try to define what you'll never understand.

Grunge

A form of Alternative Rock that had a low, dirty, "grungy" sound. Made popular by bands such as Nirvana, Alice in Chains, Mudhoney, Soundgarden etc. Grunge is not dead, the "popularity" has just died down. Grunge will make its return soon.
