flyback coil

A high-voltage transformer used primarily in switching power supplies and controllers for CRTs. It is named after the surprising effect that it has on the human body when you accidentally gets too close to one.

My old TV's flyback coil finally died.

Noun. A small piece of tobacco or cannabis that enters the mouth while smoking. Usually occurs with poorly hand-rolled cigs/spliffs.
