The fact remains that human trafficking is a tiny affair with few reliably documented cases, and the US is not dependent on imported porn.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement is a surplus agency of the US government that mostly duplicates the efforts of Customs and Border Protection and Citizenship and Immigration Services. It operates a gigantic, corporate-run incarceration system that surpasses anything Kafka, Orwell, or Solzhenitsyn ever wrote about.

Get the Parking enforcement mug.When a business owner doesn't enforce a mask mandate directly, but tries to intimidate a customer into wearing a mask by threatening them with trespassing charges if they don't comply with the mask mandate. You don't really have a right not to wear a mask if you can get arrested for trespassing for it, you have the illusion of a right not to wear a mask, and in reality you have no rights.
The owner of the business supported passive aggressive mask enforcement for customers, rather than handling anything himself/herself (without a gun).

That's all you're doing when you enforce norms. You're making YOURSELF FEEL BETTER about the existence of people who violate the norms of your adopted propositional ethic. It's superstition. It's not different than throwing salt over your shoulder when you spill the pepper. You're making an example of someone to intimidate the bystanders. And by 'Norm enforcement' I mean 'Social norm enforcement' and NOT 'Do what the Quran says or we're going to throw you off a building' MANUAL NORM ENFORCEMENT."
