X-Factor 

Someone, who at first struggles though the fans love him but ends up being the savior of the program because of hard work and determination.

One kid that did cross country for Newtown high. He got 54 out of 54 in his first race and then kids started calling him X-Factor because they knew he was saving it all for his last race when he saved Newtown High and finished first.

X-Factor 

A certain unknown quality that is missing from all entrants in talent shows, Any 16 year old wannabe who has her tits out on karaoki and trills up and down the harmonic scales under the sad delusion she is Beyonce, but in reality has no "X-Factor or indeed friends or relatives who can tell her she sucks!!

If you have to enter competitions to find the X-Factor, you aint got it.

When I got up today, the first X-Factor I did was to take an X-Factor. Then I took a major X-Factor, did way too many X-Factors, and finally at night, before I went to sleep, I did a MAJOR X-Factor! Oh man, the X-Factor was the most X-Factoringest X-Factor ever.

X Factor 

Noun.
A) A quality that makes people in possession of it the epitome of cool. When trying to explain why this person is so cool you come up blank. Everyone knows this person and people like being around them.
B) Used to describe someone whos not necessarily hot but you are strangely attracted to.

Is a fix. the winners are chosen before the series starts and they intentionally let some shite ones through to the 4th round so we can all laugh at them on telly.

And no, I've never applied for it.
