IMHO when Louis XIV said l'etat c'est moi (I am the embodiment of The State), he showed himself to be a true trumpian, in all 3 definitions a), b) and c).
Adjective denoting failed machiavellian behavior, named after the first American President to be both impeached (indicted by the US House) and convicted (by the US Senate). Trumpian behavior means: first trying to 'win' by any means possible, however illegitimate; then boasting about that 'winning'; and finally (ultimately) self-destruction leading to an epic failure.
(See also "megalomania" and "malignant narcissism".)
John tried the trumpian trick of intentionally misleading his study group in their exam prep, so that the others' grades would be lower than his. He boasted about his stable-genius GPA and what a super-smart guy he is, he hosted parties for chearleaders using his Dad's money, and he fooled a lot of people at first. But then he got caught. Not only did the school expel him for violating the Honor Code, but all his former friends deserted him, permanently.
To be described as Trumpian suggests the subject not only prefers their view above all other views but that also those views are the greatest views of anyone in the universe. A Trumpian thinks everything they do is the greatest anything anyone has ever done.
So my dad thinks his music his the greatest musicever-he's so Trumpian.
