Smeagolling

The art of finding people know, but don't know...via social networking sites such as Facebook or MySpace and the like.

The Smeagoller simply uses his/her cunning to find the person they're after.
If you successfully "Smeagol" (find) the person they are said to have been "Smeagolled"

"Remember that girl I pulled the other night? I was smeagolling her on facebook...turns out she's a cheerleader!"

"Jonny smeagolled that chick from the bus"

"Who's the girl that works in the bar on fridays?" "I don't know, why don't you smeagol her ass on facebook later? i think shes friends with Toms mate Harry..."

Verb: To act in a sneaky, sly, or conniving manner. Generally, when one 'smeagols' something from another. It's a sneaky form of thievery, generally between friends, and is not used to express anger. It can be used in different ways however, for instance, cutting in front of somebody in line (He smeagolled his way to the front). As long as it's sneaky and lightly dishonest, it's 'smeagolling.'
Derived from the character Smeagol in lord of the rings.

When Jack said he was leaving, he actually went up into my room and smeagolled a movie from me.

The act of convincing a friend to do something fun, when he or she clearly has other responsibilities and/or sleep to attend to. This strategy is often employed when seeking another player for a video game or board game.

Pete: "Dude, time for another round of Smash Bros."
Matt: "But it's 1am, and I still have two papers to write!"
Pete: "Come on, just one round! Chuck and Pat are in! *Smeagol voice* You knows you wants to..."
Matt: "Fine, you smeagoled me."

smeagoler

in reference to the character smeagol in The Lord if the Rings; a person who lurks, creeps, or wiggles their way into a situation or in order to get something.

That kid is a giant smeagoler. He is always THERE but nobody knows how he got there, who invited him; but no one really cares if he is THERE or not and no one cares enogh to make him leave.

I tried to smeagol a 40 from that kid but he would'nt share.
