A sub-genre of punk rock which embraces the stereotypes and social-reject status of nerds, with lyrics and themes which are frequently self-depreciating, ironic, or laden with nerdy pop-culture references.

Dude, were you at the nerdpunk show in Minneapolis last week? They had both Fuzzy Machete and Trendy Trendy Space Vegans on! It was awesome!

To discredit/erase everything said in previous sentence. Similar to "Syke!" or "Sike" but "newrp" is usually said to interrupt someone mid sentence as if to turn them off like a television with a remote control.

"Newrp" is pronounced with a decending tone sound like as if a electronic device is being turned off

"newwwwrrrrpppp!"

Guy 1 - "Hey i got something to tell you"

Guy 2 - "I don't wanna hear it"

Guy 1 - "oh come on...i just want to..."
