A slang term for the newly urbanized city of Hartford, CT. Many Hartford area residents who aren't young wiggers or unweducated minorities hate this term.
Young wigger from Meriden: Yo, Murrrden is wack, let's shoot up to Hotford
Young Black Professional: Listen, Cracker, you're lucky I have a meeting at Aetna today, otherwise I wouldn't take you!

Get the hotford (or Hottford) mug. This is a high school in Pylesville, Maryland. Yes, it's an AG school.
This does not mean that everyone who goes there is a farmer. Also, the school looks like a mall and has never been dirty, in my experience. Sorry we don't have a bunch of drugs and we're nice.
Also, the graduation rate is higher than 86%.
Sure there are cliques and things but they truly aren't as prevalent as other schools; I know from experience.
Take that, haters.

Get the Horlordz mug.History:
Harford County was formed in 1773 from the eastern part of Baltimore County. It contains Tudor Hall, birthplace of Abraham Lincoln's assassin, John Wilkes Booth. Harford County also hosted the signers of the Bush Declaration, a precursor document to the American Revolution.
The county was named for Henry Harford (ca. 1759-1834), illegitimate son of Frederick Calvert, 6th Baron Baltimore. Harford was the last Proprietary Governor of Maryland, but did not inherit his father's title because of his illegitimacy.
Havre de Grace, an incorporated city in Harford County, was once under consideration to be the capital of the United States rather than Washington, D.C.. It was favored for its strategic location at the top of the Chesapeake Bay; this location would facilitate trade while being secure in time of war. Today, the waterways around Havre de Grace have been silted, one of the primary environmental issues of Harford County.
Geography:
According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the county has a total area of 527 square miles (1,364 km²), of which, 440 square miles (1,140 km²) of it is land and 86 square miles (224 km²) of it (16.40%) is water.
The terrain rises in elevation and relief from south to north, with flat areas south of U.S. Route 40. The highest elevation, at 805 ft., is located near the Pennsylvania border in the county's northwestern corner. The lowest elevation is sea level along the Chesapeake Bay.
It pretty much sucks.

Get the Harford County Track Club mug.Harford Community College is a rural Community College that is nested near the intersection of Thomas Run Road, Shucks Road, and Rt. 22. The college is made up of a large sampling of the population. It is safe to say that nearly every ethnicity is covered. The students pour in from all over the United States, but the majority of the students come from the local high schools such as; C. Miltion Wright, Aberdeen High, Edgewood High, Joppatown, Bel Air High, and many others. There is even a trickling of students for local private schools such as John Carrol.
The professors are usually great, with some strict execptions. The college is pretty laid back, with a lot of activities avaible to the students. Every semester the college(also known as HCC) plans a huge gathering for the students such as free food every week outdoor rock climbing, inflateable games ect...
The epicenter for student life on campus is the "Student Center," the Student Center is where you can hear live music on Mondays along with free massages. Or you can listen to DJ tunes with Tuesday tunes with DJ Will. It is there where students can find the book store, and the Globe Cafe, where students can buy decent hot food CHICKEN TENDERS!!!!!
It is in the Susquehanna Hall where students can view HCC's sports. As a member of NJCAA ( National Junior College Athletics Association) the four most popular sports that the college takes the most pride in are; Lacrosse, Soccer, Vollyball, and Baseball. With Soccer bringing in the most national titles. GO FIGHTING OWLS!!!
For most students it was the cheap, and easy next step till they can figure out what's next for them in life. Due to the fact that students come in packs form different high schools, HCC has been referred to as the 13th, and 14th grade. Students, jokingly, call HCC by other school's abbreviations: USC (University of Shucks Corner), UCLA(Upper Churchville Lower Aberdeen). Dispite the "Community College" stigma Harford Community College is a great school with a lot to offer.
