Acronym. Stands for "Good Ol' Fashioned Reboot." Can be used by IT Professionals to mockingly describe the menial task of rebooting a PC to fix it in front of non-IT while still sounding professional (see ID10T and PEBKAC).

IT Manager: So, what was the problem with his PC? Was it a PEBKAC error?

IT Staff: Not this time. The PC just needed a GOFR.

unfortunate physical state of a person who has multiple medical problems and no hope of recovery or meaningful life. their activity is usually nothing more than laying in a hospital bed as a rotting, dying sack of flesh. gomertose individuals usually have large families, all of whom visit at the time of impending patient death, only to cry out "aye ya ya...please do everything to keep him alive!!!" this essentially denies the patient a dignified death, and condemns them to a slow, torcherous prolonged demise.
