Fifty-two Fakeout

To deliberately mislead or misdirect. To cause someone to think or act a certain way based on incorrect information or actions.
(also known as "throwing a 52")

The background of this expression is unknown.

That cell phone rate was a fifty-two fakeout. The actual charges came on the bill.

When a person looks exceptionally attractive from far away but as they are seen up close, are in fact, far from attractive.

fakenger

A bike riding poseur who dresses in messenger gear and rides a fixed gear but is not a messenger. They can be found in most major cities, ie Portland, S.F.

That fakenger thinks he's hot shit, but all he does is ride around all day being a jackass.
