It came about when I forgot what it was called and I asked someone to pass the cannaweed

To make an item in such a way that it cheapens the quality, to make it look more expensive than it is.

This Chinese-made leather belt looks like it is made with expensive leather. Upon closer inspection, it has a thin plastic coating, instead of being polished and oil rubbed. It has been Chinafied.
