"Rust monster" (noun): An individual whose attempt at achieving a sun-kissed glow via spray tan has gone horribly wrong, resulting in a complexion reminiscent of a bruised or overripe potato. Spinning Rust refers to a mechanical hard drive. Early hard disk drives had platters coated with iron(III) oxide, basically rust, hence the name.

This is used as an insult, basically calling someone dumb. Often used for people who value feelings and opinions over logic and reality.
