road to Abilene

A "road to Abilene" is when a group collectively decides to do something which no individual in the group really wants to do. The term comes from the Abilene Paradox, demonstrated by the story of a family who decides to travel 53 miles north to Abilene for ice cream. On the way back, they begin arguing after realizing that none of them wanted to go in the first place.

When a bunch of kids get in a car (most likely a VW Bus, most likely with tons of drugs, and drive to an exotic destination (like Vegas or New Jersey).

It happened more in the 70s.

An extremely tricked out and powerful muscle car with an engine that rises above the hood and larger rear wheels than front wheels.

An excellent example of a road dominater would be a modified 69' Camaro with a big block V8 and an ass-kickin' 1000hp... that would beat the living shits out of any ricer any day.

A bottle of wine purchased for and consumed while driving. Typically a red Spanish wine costing between $9.99 and $14.99. Classier than pounding Busch Light cans during your commute.

I picked up a couple road bots for the drive. The tannins were incredible and my car smelled of plum fruit, leather and dried tobacco after.
