A message sent on myspace, an email, text message, aim, ect. that has sexual content. Usually sent from a male who has sexual feelings for a female.

when someone sends a text, most likely when they are under the influence, and the recipient can't make out a single word that they were trying to say mostly because the sender has lost the ability to spell.

Drunk Sender: Hie budbie, can u gixe mi a rido himo?

Reciever: What? This is a total text MESSage!

AOL Instant Messenger

A horrid program that people are forced to use in order to communicate on the internet due to the fact all others are worse. Filled with many bugs and errors people have to deal with in order to talk to multiple friends without the use of a telephone. No one likes it, but it's at least better than the alternatives. Also see aim.

A hidden message or image found in text, music or film. A well-known subliminal message was that of Coca-Cola ads which flashed for less Than a second in movies. You may not have seen it, but your subconscious did. Don't argue with him.

Messunderstanding

Messunderstanding is a definition for a misunderstanding but with text messages. As for example a text message intended to be funny or ironic but instead, in the hands of the reciever reads as an insult or is taken too seriously. The misunderstanding is directly linked to the forum of the communication. In ordinary spoken conversation, a weird comment followed by a smile helps the other participant to understand the irony, whereas in text messages it can be misunderstood or - messunderstood.
People avoid messunderstandings by using or not using smileys and/or other stuff.

"James thought he actually could ride in the car with me even though I said no. Why did I put a smiley there? Clearly this was a messunderstanding. I was messunderstood!"
