Reverse Marketing

Reverse marketing happens when an organization’s planned marketing campaign results in negative consequences for their brand. The reason a brand is important is, in part, that it creates trust in that organization, which, in a for-profit business, results in higher sales. Reverse marketing works in the opposite direction.

“Coca-cola decided some years ago to introduce New Coke and stop producing Coke Classic based on blind taste tests that indicated younger consumers preferred the sweeter taste of Pepsi. What they didn’t take into account was the loyalty of Coke buyers to the classic formula. The result was a rapid climb down by the Company and massive reverse marketing.”

Merking

A way of obtaining stuck materials from a vending machine by vigorously shaking your ass and rapidly bumping said vending machine. This should result in the vending machine in releasing it's goodness while entertaining witnesses.

Pirate Marketing

A term describing the so-called "marketing strategy" of spammers who "advertise" or plug) their products and services by using people’s email addresses to send out bulk mail messages to all the contacts they've hijacked, pretending the email was written by the person who's identity they have hacked into.

This is done to suggest a person has tried and tested the product and to spread bogus word of mouth virally. This is entirely fraudulent and can potentially hurt a person’s reputation, but thankfully this method is used by individuals and groups who are just as stupid as the people they are trying to scam (i.e. catering to the lowest denominator). For this reason, the spam message itself is usually as easy to detect as the cheap knockoffs (or stolen goods) they are trying to unload on unsuspecting victims.

Here is a prime example of pirate marketing allegedly sent from a friend:

Marketing Mongrel

An even lower form of life than the Management Minga. A Marketing Mongrel typically aspires to (a) be a Management Minga, (b)hang out with Management Minga's; but in most cases niether is achievable. Marketing Mongrels engage in activities that even the common cretin would not and incur such names as "Chipmunk", "gumby", or "Number three" through either appearance or behavioural characteristics.
