Supposedly a word for someone who believes (in actuality, has knowledge of) evolution. This is a funny word because you don't find it anywhere outside creationist websites.

That would make me an evolutionist, if I can use that word outside of the pointless evolution/creation debate.

evolve

Describes the descent over time with modification of a species, resulting from environmental factors or mechanisms of probability acting upon a population. Commonly used in reference to evolution and evolutionary biology.

Evolution is controversial among several religions including Christianity, more specifically the concept of Creationism. However, it should be noted that not all Christians refute evolution as a scientific fact, and furthermore those who accept evolution as a scientific fact are not to be assumed atheist. Using Christianity as an example, these previous statements fuel a debate that undermines both institutions of faith and the growing body of biological science.

(Christianity as the common example.)
A: "If you believe in God, how do you explain dinosaurs?"
B: "They evolved over millions of years and then went extinct."
A: "What about the book of Genesis?"
B: "I just take it as an allegory. After all, the Bible is meant to provide a life message, not a history lesson."
A: "Won't you go to Hell for not accepting what the Bible says?"
B: "If I appreciate evolution as a mechanism by which God shaped this world and us, why should he be angry?"

1. Gradual change in life over millions of years, confirmed by both genetics and fossils. Anyone who's seen the evidence and still denies it likely has religious motivations.
2. Something that is clearly going downhill in the Bush family.

Homo habilis was a major milestone in the evolution from ape to man.

The idea that human behavior can be explained through evolution. An idea usually hated by SJWs. It shows that human nature is biological, and not all just a social construct, and can be used to explain things such as gender differences.

The human brain, like the human body, has been shaped through evolution, hence evolutionary psychology.

The general idea of evolution is that if a million monkeys bang a million monkeys they’d eventually produce a Shakespear.

If we are going to teach creation science as an alternative to evolution, then we should also teach the stork theory as an alternative to biological reproduction.
