Yeah, dawg, you can just do that. There's literally nothing stopping that from happening... Unless there is... In which case I'm totally unaware of the things that is stopping people from doing that.

They are not the same. Like, at least you're pretending to be compassionate rather than pretending to be the mouth piece of a reality monster that controls your life and burns your soul forever... A forever DM is someone who is either forced or willingly always plays the gamemaster or dungeon master role in table top RPGs. They spend countless hours on their campaigns just for players to shit on it.

Player: "Hey dude can you DM a oneshot this saturday?" DM: "Why can't you just do it? It's your game after all.." Player: Because you're our forever DM you bitch!"
