Paraffax

Paraffax is like Parallax, except instead of objects it’s facts being distorted.
n. The gap between what you actually said and how somebody interpreted it (often due to ideological brainwashing).
n. A change in the apparent position of an fact relative to different viewpoints, caused by a change in the receiver's ideological bias towards the fact (and/or speaker of the fact).

When asked by the interviewer who was funnier, Men or Women, Adam Carolla responded that Men were funnier, in general. Due to Paraffax, the interviewer interpreted this as Carolla saying that Women aren’t funny. Period.

Short form of the word 'performance'. Usually used in online foraa by members who have so much to post in so little time that they couldn't be arsed to write the whole word out.

Also used as a short form for 'perfume'.

John was so negative all the time that he just couldn't perf in bed.
