a hotel where one can stay at for free in an unfamiliar location. In effect, staying at the back yourself hotel requires that you have the confidence that you will pull every night of your trip so you dont need "traditional" hotel accomodation

"dave have you booked any acomodation for the spain trip yet?"

"mate, dont worry about it, we'll just stay at the back yourself hotel"
