Artful procrastination, typically in the style of an actor intentionally delaying or prolonging a cue so as to build dramatics tension. Usually unsuccessful. Unusually just annoying.

That last scene was SO INTENSE! I couldn't wait to see what he said next.

The infinitive form of this intransitive verb is "to actor". In a scene where an actor is actoring, that person's focus on winning an award is what comes through to the audience, rather than the character that the actor is supposed to be playing. Actoring most often happens in an emotional scene full of tears, during a monologue, or while the actor is staring into space contemplatively and wistfully, but actoring can be done in almost any scene that involves a long close-up shot of the thespian's face. Most actors will actor at most once or twice during the entire run of a television show or in a single movie. But some people, such as Nicolas Cage, have a special talent for actoring.

Ppphhhh. He's actoring right now. I guess he wants an Oscar nomination. So much for the suspension of disbelief.

Actor no dey die for film

A Nigerian Pidgin phrase meaning “the hero never dies.” Used to describe someone who always survives, escapes trouble, or seems impossible to defeat — like the main character in a movie who can’t be killed off.

Example 1:
A: Wait, after all those cheating scandals he’s still married?
B: My guy, actor no dey die for film.

Example 2:
That striker missed five chances but still scored the winning goal. Actor no dey die for film.

Someone who is instructed to exactly follow their parents' words, just because he is young enough to still be financed by his parents

Man, I'm tired of being my parents' paid actor with insanely strict screen time limits imposed by them. I'm only allowed to have 2 hours of screen time per day, which is only enough to speedrun the 1990 game "Ultima VI: The False Prophet" — and nowhere near enough to play any modern-day AAA video game.
