Jackassery

A noun describing a state of abject stupidity and ignorance of objective facts when serious decisions need to be made. It can reference an individual or group's actions.

The policy that prevents us from killing people who plant IEDs in the road until they detonate that IED is the highest form of jackassery.

Getting drunk, dancing with those strippers and then sending photos of the party to your wife was jackassery at it's highest form.

Suggesting that we should fly through the mountains at night in fog was total jackassery.
