Slam-a-cow!

An expression used when something surprising or upsetting occurs.

Ex. 1:
16-year-old girl - "Mom, I'm Pregnant."
Mother- "SLAM-A-COW!"

Ex. 2:
*Baker drops wedding cake on the ground*
"Slam-a-cow!"

Ex. 3:

Girl - "I don't want to have sex until I'm married."
Boy - "Slam-a-cow!"

Slam Ma

This is a substitute term to more specifically describe a roller derby "Grandma". In the roller derby community, a "Slam-Ma" is a term used to describe a female skater whose daughter (who may also participate in roller derby) has a baby, thus making her a "slam-ma" as opposed to just a "Grandma".

"Hey Cora Nary, Oogie Boogie Brookie just had her baby, thus making Breakin' Zem Bones a new Slam Ma!" Slam-Mother

slam back

To down an alcoholic drink all in one go, without pause for breath (and sometimes without more than one swallow, unlike a chug). Most commonly used with shots.

Hey man, watch, I'm gonna slam back this vodka.

slam dancing

Slam dancing started when punk rock music started. It is the original form of "moshing". Back in the mid 70's and in the 80's punk rockers slammed danced. There wasn't any hardcore violence involved. Ask anyone who actually lived through the era of punk rock and they will tell you the truth about slam dancing. "Moshing" is a new term for slam dancing but isn't slam dancing at all. Slam dancing basically consisted of jumpin around and not really doing any actual dance moves. It wasn't purposly violent dancing.

"Hey look at those scenester kids "moshing" and thinkin they are slam dancing."
