A person may achieve a moderate level of competence, but due to their lack of attention and focus, never become and expert. Micro-hobbys routinely come and go as a person enters a different stage of their life, and quite often help deal with boredom, work life imbalance, and stress.

Get the Micro ppmug. Some one that is far more controlling and overbearing than a micro-manager. This person will not just tell you how to do something, they will stand over your shoulder and tell you step by step to do the task the way they would do it, not even allowing you to proceed if you know how to do it in a possibly better, different way. Could also be referred to as micro-dictatorial; but "micro-dictorial" flow more easily off the tongue.
