Loci

A Loci is a unique creature, a relative of the velociraptor that is typically incapable of mating. When a Poet is present, however, the Loci will become susceptible to the Poet's spawn, whether the spawn is wanted or not. Every Poet is born knowing the location of its designated Loci, and will find it however necessary.

That Loci is so standoffish, except when Poet is around; Loci seems to worship Poet.

In the modern age, most Poets have to find their Locis via the internet.
