rubber johnny

A 6-minute short film by Chris Cunningham, commonly found on websites such as eBaum's World, Wimp, etc. Surprisingly, this film plus a 40-page book sells on Amazon for 10 bucks. This video is creepy and haunting, and about a supposed "teenage mutant" who dances in his wheelchair near the end, with lots of flashing lights. Looks like a rave-type thing. Many strange noises and weird images, so be warned.

Rubber Johnny creeps me out so much.

pidgin for cheap, rubber thong sandals (rubber slippers). every hawaiian local knows 101 ways to fix their broken slippah: 50 with tape, 50 with glue, and 50 with a stick to poke the strap back in the hole. every hawaiian local owns 2 or more pairs. at least one of them is "dah bus' up kine" and the others are "dah ok kine"

rubbah slippahs were brought to hawaii as a cheap way for the japanese and filipino plantation workers to have shoes.

rubber-time

Rubber-time is the English translation of the Indonesian phrase 'Jam Karet'. It literally translates as a period of time which is made of rubber or elastic. There is a general acceptance that people will be late. Someone does not appear on time, or is late - shoulders are shrugged. "Oh well, it's rubber time."

rubinize

(verb) To "rubinize"something is to make a broad conclusion about some large group or organization based solely off of a small minority of people within that group or organization. Often times, this conclusion is negative and hypocritical. If you throw in the term "classical liberal", you will also get 5 bonus points in life. Based off of Dave Rubin, a blundering political commentator who values free speech and ideas more than integrity and factual information. The term "Rubinize" is based off of Dave Rubin's broad and misguided statements about the so-called "regressive left".

Dave Rubin: The entire left-wing political movement is regressive and anti-free speech due to the actions of a few SJWs on a few college campuses.
Any reasonable person: Way to rubinize the left-wing, Dave.
