Standard English

Standard English is one of three forms: Proper English, Standard English, and Common English. Until very recently, Standard English encompassed all of normally used English, however, as many forms of communicating on the internet have separated away from normal use, many of the less formal grammar styles and uses (i.e. caps lock, texting abbreviations, etc.) have been classified as Common English. However, any conversation you have with a pre-Millennial will use Standard English, even if it's "Hey, how's it going?" If you are talking to a superior, you will also be using Standard English.

Stand back

A phrase used in the sense of "hold onto your hats" Inspired by the 1983 hit by Stevie Nicks, exclaiming stand back once or twice in a row is used to prepare somebody to be shown or told something amazing. The known origins of such use of the term are from around Richmond Virginia, by 80's heads who sought to help keep the 80's alive and well.

Oh my stars! That dude done yelled out "Stand back! Stand Back!" from the bedroom. Next thing he came out dressed like one of the break dancers from the video to that song! He is so retro!

UACCM Jeep Stand

The act of becoming semi-famous at a Community College in rural Arkansas by climbing to the top of the Campus Police Jeep and taking pictures of yourself to show the level of control they have on the campus.

Tyler: "Dude, I wanna do something to make us famous around here...this is God's Country"

Andrew: "Look Tyler, its the po-po! Let's attempt the fabled UACCM Jeep Stand!!!"

Tyler: "I'm going for it, take my picture dude!"

Andrew: "Hell yea! Hoody-Hoooo!"
