We have noticed an uptick in the usage of words/phrases that have to do with suicide or otherwise encourage suicidal behavior. We want to make you aware of this because of a certain meme that we're all familiar with by now that has the following caption: "You should censored phrase NOW!"
We used to have a sticker, but with the name "Hug yourself now" in place of what the caption is, but because we all knew what that sticker's reference was to, the staff have decided to remove the sticker from the server. I understand that the meme is meant to be a joke, but it's a serious issue in society and is no laughing or joking matter.
Any memes posted that have phrases that encourage suicide will earn the offending poster a ban. These memes are no different than directing the phrase at someone. Neither practice has a place here and they are both zero-tolerance offenses.
This announcement is not meant to intimidate anyone. It is only meant to serve as a reminder that suicidal remarks/encouraging suicide are not acceptable in this server and punishments will be issued accordingly for any and all violations. We check mod logs and message logs regularly so it is promised that you will be caught if you choose to ignore this warning.
