Gray Collar Workers

A Gray Collar Worker is a member of the service class. While a blue collar worker is a proletarian and primarily manual labour worker (such as a factory worker), and a white collar worker is a bourgeoisie class member (a lawyer).

The Gray Collar Working class does not have the riches of the white collar workers, nor the pride, nor unity of a blue collar worker.

The greatest work on Gray Collar Workers is in the film "Fight Club." It describes the lack of self-confidence, feeling of no masculinity, and the feeling of incompetence with near perfection.

Collier's Disease

When someone slowly digresses from having a fluent social life to having hardly no social life at all. This often occurs when someone gets a full time job (transportation company and/or police) and does not have time to attend these social functions due to untimely shift hours. Subject spends most nights at work while spending most of his free time stalking girls on facebook or myspace. Last known case was out of Salem, MA in 2008.

"I think my roommate has Collier's disease. He worked 48 hours this week and spent his only night off stalking single girls on facebook"

"Doctor, I can't stop stalking girls on facebook when I'm not at work. I think I contracted Collier's Disease"

Asshole Collar

A type of shirt where the Collar and possibly the Cuffs are white and the body of the shirt is colored (blue, etc). Originated from the desire to be seen as both "White Collar" and aware of fashion trends. Predominantly worn by investment bankers, asshole bosses, frat boys, and those who wish to display, but do not actually have, money.

Notable perpetrators include: Bill Lumbergh (Office Space) and Ken Lay (Enron)

That guy wore his Asshole Collar out to the bar with jeans, what a douche.

I started my new job today and I could tell my boss will be a real prick by his Asshole Collar.

Look at those frat boys wearing Asshole Collars as if they had a job and didn't live off mommy and daddy.

An act that involves pulling your collar up and over your neck. Despite looking moronic, and defeating the purpose of collared shirts (looking somewhat respectable), this has somehow become a fashion trend.

John Smith: Wow, look at that moron's collar pop.

Me: I really wish clothing companies would start writing 'douche' on the inside of collars. Maybe being labelled a douche by their own clothing whenever they pop their collars would be enough incentive for them to stop.
