Chalice of Banter

A metaphor often used as a means of estimating or judging the level of craic being interchanged between a circle of friends. Rarely found amongst females. Its' embodiment could be a drinking vessel of any form, for example, a pint-sized tankard, beaker, bowl, cannikin, cup, demitasse, draught, mug, taster or tumbler.

During a phenomenal session of banter: 'The chalice of banter is over-flowing!'

Before a night out: 'Time to fill the chalice of banter!'

When a person with smelly chat contributes to a session too much: 'the chalice of banter has sprung a leak.'

the meaning of Chalista is "the prettiest" (Latin). she is a super cute, a helper and forgiving girl. she does not like violence, and it is clear that she can not be treated very harshly because it will hurt her badly. she is a sensitive person, but she prefers not to say anything and show it through her attitude. she always enjoys everything she lives, but she will do her best. The expected outcome, especially in a sporting event. Derived from, "you can chalk that up right now, we don't even have to see it."

war chalking

The practice of leaving coded chalk marks on or near buildings or sites where a "war driver" has identified available 802.11 wireless network access. The marks usually indicate the type of access and level of security.

This practice is decended from the way hobos used to chalk mark the curbs outside homes where an easy mark could be approached for food or other handouts.

I located a particularly handy open wifi network near the ballpark, so I warchalked it for my hacker brothers and sisters.
