Popularized in Asian countries among mixed martial artists, practicing "Goobies" consitsts of eating an excess amount of fat in order to help the body absorb vitamin A, vitamin D and vitamin E. This technique among trainers is to increase stored energy for their fighters. Since they are eating a higher concentration of fatty foods, they must cut down on carbohydrate and protein intake.
