In general, if you have connected with another person emotionally, even within friendship form, while disconnecting with your partner at the same time, you’re crossing into emotional infidelity. An act of having feelings for somebody else while in a relationship. Often occurs when one partner is channeling emotional energy, time or attention to someone else than the person committed. To the point the partner feels neglected. Although, emotional cheating is whatever and however you want to define it as. And if your partner's connection with someone else makes you feel uneasy or upset, it is important to have a conversation to re-establish your boundaries.
